ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC.
Back in 1963-70, I was a Bass Guitarist in 'groups'
(
NIGHTSOUNDS, V5 and others) out in Germany. I was in REME, in the army, and we usually played in pubs, halls and also on the military bases.
We did somehow get to play as a 'warm-up' group for
The Searchers when they played in the Paderhalle in Paderborn in the mid 60's and the group members were, Jacko Jackson, lead guitar and vocals, Scouse, rythm guitar, Bob Flynn, drummer and myself.  Quite a few more performers were around at the same time such as Bill, Sandy, Sunshine, Les, Smiley, but memory is a little hazy although I have been trying to make contact with them.
My favourite guitar then, was my
FRAMUS STAR BASS plugged into various amps such as Dynacord, Marshall and Selmer Goliath units.
It was a wonderful time in my life and remains very much in my memory banks but I left the army and the group scene in 1970 and whilst I still enjoyed music, I didn't play a guitar until gone 1994.
Music now plays a more important part of my life, once again,  but some of the 'tools' have changed.
You might find some reference to
JIMMY VINCE, this is one name that has been given to my rendition of some songs I have been playing about with!
NOTE   I have now made contact with Jack, after all these years, and it was a very nice meeting that we, Jack and Dora and Margaret and myself, had in Southampton. Following this I have also met Bill Gordon (ex Bass guitarist, now accomplished git/singer) & Heidi his wife who live just north of Cologne in Germany.
